Spring has sprung here in good ol’ Colorado, and do you know what that means?? Snow!! Crazy, huh?? The weather has been teasing us lately and we wish it would just pick something and stay with it. Preferably the warmth. ;) When it actually HAS been somewhat warm outside, we’ve been grabbing our rackets and playing tennis. We’re not totally awesome yet, but we’ll get there!! However, playing tennis does make us realize how old we’re getting….. because after about an hour of playing, our knees hurt so bad we limp back to the car in agony. (Yes, it’s sad that both of us have bad knees at such a young age.)
We’ve also been doing some “sharing” this past week. Both of us had been hit with a pretty bad cold - first Greg, and then Jen. We had Kleenex, cold medicine, ice water, and chicken noodle soup stocked up and ready to go like you wouldn’t believe!!
Goodbye March!! Can you believe that tomorrow is April, and that the year is already ¼ of the year over!!??

CFA Studying
(By Greg)
Well, it's been 2+ months and I'm about 95% of the way through my 4000 pages of material. After I finish the remaining 200 pages (this week), the next 2+ months will include: review, review, review and taking practice test after practice test after practice test until the real test on June 7th.
The last section I'm working on right now is Quantitative Analysis and Ethics (do they even teach Ethics anymore in Business School?). I ran across an equation this morning in my quant studying and thought I'd pass it along to everyone!
I'm sure you'll find it just as humorous as I did! This is the "Variance of a 3-asset portfolio."

Saltgrass Superstars
This morning we had some fun and went to to watch Brian play basketball out at TCA. He and two of his work friends played 3 on 3 for a charity league, and their team was called the "Saltgrass Superstars." Below are some short videos of the event:

Albuquerque
This past weekend we jumped in the car and headed out to see our friend Erynn get married in Albuquerque. It was a quick trip, but well worth it. Her and Jon are one of the neatest, most cutest couples we know, and it was such an honor to attend. We also had fun running around Albuquerque (since we had never been there before) and hanging out at Erynn's parents house after the wedding. At the end of the trip, we came to the conclusion that we're not real big fans of New Mexico and that the only reason to go there is to see the Mangum's. Here's a helpful hint to anyone who wants to visit Albuquerque in the future: Don't ask any of the locals for directions.... none of them seem to know where ANYTHING is around there or how to get to it. It was so weird.....

"Who gives this woman...."

"I do!!"

Jon (soon-to-be NFL player), Erynn (soon-to-be a more well-known author), Jen, Greg

The Big 5-0
Yesterday, Dad turned 50.... 5 days after Brian turned 20. =) We went out and had barbeque for dinner at Dad's favorite place called Famous Dave's. It was soooooooo good!! We hadn't had barbeque in a long time, so it really hit the spot.... not that it was up to us where we went for dinner, but we definitely approved his choice. ;)

After dinner, we headed back to Mom and Dad's to open presents real quick before his party. Dad got a bunch of neat things, but his favorite present was from Mom. (of course!) A trip to Las Vegas for a few days!!! What better way to celebrate a big birthday - other than the party afterwards with all of his friends of course. ;)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!

Brian's Buca Birthday
With Brian's birthday fast approaching, we went out last night and celebrated his birthday. And where did he want to go?? Buca di Beppo!! So we all piled in the car and headed up to Littleton Colorado since the one here in the Springs (his former place of employment) closed in December. He had a fun time catching up with his old boss and co-workers, and we all had a fun time hanging out and singing loud when they brought out the big birthday candles. After dinner, we headed over to Dad and Mom Kelly's house for presents and the famous chocolate birthday cake. It was a late night, but a great night. Happy Birthday (tomorrow) Brian!!!
