Play Ball!!!!

The co-ed team at church almost had to forfeit their game last night because they didn't have enough players..... so Jen stepped in and "saved" the game. =) She actually didn't do too bad for not having played for 2 years (she likes to socialize with the fans and hoot/cheer on the players), but she could use some more practice. She played catcher and Greg played both shortstop and second. We had a lot of fun!!

Today we discovered that the Titanic exhibit is going to be in Denver!! We are quite excited and can't wait to go. We've been hoping it would come close to home so we could see it. Tonight Greg has class so Jen will be catching up on laundry. (boo!) Greg is almost done with his Masters, 4 more classes to go!!

We're Back!

We are back from Arkansas and don't want to be. (We can't believe that we have to go back to work tomorrow!!) We enjoyed every minute of the heat, the food, sleeping in, house/property looking, and doing nothing but whatever we wanted too. (We're already planning our trip next year!!) We also went to Memphis and ran around and saw the sights, and on our way home we stopped and had lunch with Grandpa and Grandma Inman in Topeka. It was great to see them!! We will probably go back to Memphis, Arkansas, and Topeka next year as well. We are also planning a trip to Branson on our way home next year, so we are pretty excited about that!! Today we ran some errands and did some yard work. Jen planted some flowers outside in the flowerbox that hangs from the front porch railing and also in a new "cup and saucer" planter. Everything looks SO cute. Greg pulled HUGE weeds in the backyard and sprayed weed killer all over the property. We're getting ready to landscape the backyard and have to get rid of the weeds first. Fun stuff!!

Flocked!

OK, so we woke up this morning and here is what happened: We found over TWO dozen bright pink flamingos staked in our yard, in our bushes, and in our tree in the front yard. We had been "flocked." The cool thing is, is that it's a fundraiser at our church to raise money for the mission trip to Russia, and here's how it works: If you get "flocked" you have to call a number and pay a $20 removal fee which goes towards the mission trip. In turn, you get to pick who gets "flocked" next. We got flocked by Mom and Dad Kelly..... but who we "flock" next is a secret.

Funny Stuff

So we went to lunch today with our Auntie Cheryl and did our traditional "lunch before setting up for VBS." Look how Auntie parked her van..... (LOL!!)

It's Friday!!

It's Friday AND it's the first of June. Amazing how quickly time flies. It's also amazing how quickly life seems to pass us by too. Today Jen had to say goodbye to a dear friend at work, Carolyn, and tonight we have to say goodbye to one of our best friends, Jonathan. Why do all the good people in your life have to move away?? However, tonight was "date night," so our spirits have been perked up a bit. =) We went to the Craftwood Inn. We have never been there before, but had heard wonderful things about it. We really liked it, and consider it a definite recommendation!! -- Greg lost his softball game last night. He plays for the men's competitive team on Thursday nights for our church as well as the co-ed team on Monday nights. Meanwhile last night, Jen was living it up at her boss' house having "girls" night with some of the gals from her work. At least someone had a good night..... =)
