Nine Months Old!

It's insane to think that Noah has now been on the outside as long as he has been on the inside. Actually, it's just unfathomable to think that we have a 9-month old. He is just growing up WAY too fast for us.

Noah had his 9-month well child check today. He never fails to impress the doctor every time we're in there. His health is excellent, his height and weight are great - meaning, he's now officially ready for (and has been using) his big boy carseat instead of his baby carrier. Sniff, sniff. We did so much research it was insane! But after many recommendations, a few trips to the store, we finally got one - and he LOVES it!! You can tell he feels like hot stuff too. ;) And as we were shopping, we got blessed with an awesome coupon by some strangers who weren't going to use their coupon. It saved us almost $100!! Just for fun, as we shopped for family and friends' baby showers these last few weeks, we decided to check to see if our own registry's were still online or available at the store to look at. Our Babies R Us registry is still available and it was fun looking back to see what all we registered for that we didn't know we didn't need, and what we needed and didn't register for. It's crazy how blessed we got at all of our showers though and that most of our registry got purchased! We are a very blessed little family. Have we mentioned that? =)

So what else is new with Noah? He now has 6 teeth through. He is almost walking - he took 2 steps by accident last Saturday, 3 steps this past Saturday, and 10 yesterday! He's now mostly eating what we eat, but still loves his baby food the best. He loves to try new foods and absolutely LOVED Grandpa Doug's pancakes last month. =) He blesses us a day or two during the week and sleeps in until 9:30 or 10!! (His record is 10:40) He still makes his silly faces, fake coughs and clicks his tongue to get us to laugh. He crosses his ankles when he sits. He LOVES to be chased around the house and will laugh hysterically. He claps his hands and makes noise with them now. He'll imitate us on most things we do. He loves to crawl really fast on his hands and feet instead of his hands and knees - of course this gets BIG laughs out of us. He loves to talk loud. Loves to crawl behind where the couches meet and play "fort." He still gets crazy excited about bath time. His binky is still his "BFF." His little personality shines through more and more and he just gets more and more fun as the days go by!

As a FUN side note: Jen and her Mom went to the "Just Between Friends" last week..... pretty sure they're "JBF Junkies" now. Jen got a "first time Mom" pass for her, and a "first time Grandparent" pass for her Mom. The deals were insane and you would not believe the huge bags-full of baby toys and clothes they each brought home! (You would not believe how other people were hauling stuff out by the truck-load! The deals were incredible!) It was so much fun and they definitely see themselves going back next Spring and Fall.

We're starting to plan his birthday. We've been talking with Jen's Mom and some friends about ideas and etc. Very sad to think that the time is drawing near. Our little bundle seems to be turning into a little boy right before our eyes. Pretty soon he'll be starting Kindergarten, graduating high school, getting married..... oh gosh, bring on the tears. This is why we try to soak up and enjoy every minute with him - going down that route just makes us sad. =( We can't think of anyone else that enjoys their kids as much as we do. If there are people out there, then there are a bunch of very loved, and very lucky kids. =) He just melts our hearts in such an incredible way and came along at the MOST perfect time in our life - looking back when we were SO ready to have a baby and God was not ready for us to have one, we can see now how come.

We got our carpets cleaned this weekend, and various other little things done in anticipation of putting the house on the market sometime next week - as if we don't have enough to do already. Now we have a lot MORE to do!

Now for a plethora of pictures to bring you up to date!

Slow that boy down!! My goodness, he's growing so fast!! I hate that we are 1000 miles away...okay, I know it's not really that much, but it sure feels like it. We want to be there to experience it all with you! I'm thankful for the pic you all texted me last night. I am just certain that he was texting Gammy when he was taking his steps...telling me all about his new trick. :) We love you guys so much!!!!

If I hadn't gotten to see these first steps, I never would have believed it - he's just too little! And yes, he does know how to get a laugh. Such a great personality already. I'm glad I get to experience all of these fun times - wouldn't miss 'em for anything in the world!!! (Gammy's right - I think he WAS texting her! Texting and walking... Isn't that a no-no in "baby-land?")
