Diapers changed in a day: oh gosh…. 8-10 maybe? Not nearly as many as we had thought it would be!
Sleeping patterns: he’s such a good and easy baby, and sleeps quite often. He also is awake quite often and is more alert than most babies his age, so it’s fun to “play” with him when he’s awake. Generally, he wakes up only once in the middle of the night to eat and be changed - he loves to sleep (and pretty much will ONLY sleep) with his mama or in his big boy crib with the “sound sheep” turned on for naps. Yes, we’re tired, but not exhausted like we thought we’d be. Maybe our time hasn’t come. Either that, or we’re really blessed.
Fun events: we usually plan a fun place to go every day or evening. It has helped Jen feel physically better, as well as mentally and emotionally better. (Thanks Mimi!) So far Noah’s been to: Chick-Fil-A, Taco Bell, McDonald’s, Olive Garden, the doctor, Bed Bath and Beyond, Sunflower Farmers Market, Colorado Coffee Merchants, Safeway, Walmart, Target, the Commissary, Saltgrass Steakhouse (to visit Uncle Brian at work), Papa & Mimi's house, Uncle Brian & Aunt Becca’s house, and on a walk when the weather was nice outside.
What Noah loves: real baths, snuggling, his binky, car rides, staring at the ceiling fans, his bouncy/vibrating chair, and many kisses.
What Noah hates: sponge baths, having lotion put on him, and getting his diaper changed.

For those of you wondering how labor and delivery went……. I wouldn’t say labor and delivery were a piece of cake (albeit I only was in labor for 15 hours), but it wasn’t nearly as horrible as I had anticipated it to be in my head. Maybe it helped to have such a great nurse, doctor, husband, and epidural. =) If I have one piece of advice to offer though, it’s to get an epidural. It made life MUCH more bearable. Plus it helped me to relax, get some rest, and prepare mentally for the hours/days ahead. (I also think it helped a little with the healing process.) I am also very proud to report that I was back into all of my normal clothes within Noah’s first week of life. They even fit a little looser than they did before too. ;) Everything else is going quite smooth at home. My days are definitely totally different and more busy than they used to be though! However, it’s nice to know that when my 12 weeks of maternity leave are up, I don’t HAVE to go back to work if I don’t want too. Not all wives have that luxury, so I sure am lucky that I do! (I’ll probably only work 1 day a week, if that - perks of having a per-diem job.)
Here’s just a few pics more pics of our adorable little boy that we’ve taken over the last few weeks or so. Sorry for the poor quality on some of these….. we tend to grab whatever is handy at the moment and most often that is our BlackBerry. ;)

Absolutely the MOST beautiful baby! What a little blessing. I love being Mimi!!!
P.S. You forgot to mention that on EVERY outing we took him on, he was an absolute ANGEL! This is one easy baby...
He is totally adorable! Good for you for getting out so much already! It definately does help the mental after baby! You are BLESSED beyond your knowledge to have such a great sleeper already!!
Such a little cutie. REALLY want to swing by to see you guys and bring dinner SOON. I have been out of town and have had a sick little buddy for over a week so I've been staying far away. I'll call you this week...
See? I told you it wasn't that bad! I never felt "sleep-deprived" even though my guys didn't sleep through the night until after 6-8 months. But often that is the case with breast feeding babies-it was worth it to me to know they were getting "the best"! :) Glad to hear he is such a dream, when are you coming to church? Worried he will be smothered?:) Hope to meet him soon!
He is too cute! Loved seeing the photos of the little guy!
He is SO sweet! I just can't wait to meet him! :) Love all of you lots! :)
Thanks for the new pics! He's just adorable! We're SO anxious to meet him! Love you guys! :)
I'm so glad you did an update, definitely been curious. I'm so glad to hear it's gone so well, it makes me hopeful for the future haha Beautiful baby boy!
Noah is adorable! He is a precious gift that we will always treasure. Being Grandparents is the BEST!!
What a cutie Noah is! And I must say that I hope I am even half as lucky as you Jen and fit in my clothes THAT soon after birth. :)
