2 Months Old!

Two months old.  TWO!  That is how old Emma is today.  Anyone else find this a little crazy?  We've been parents to two for two months now.  Sheesh!

Baby girl is just growing and thriving and still fitting in with our family quite flawlessly. This past month she has:

* Laughed hard in her sleep - 4 times - at 6 weeks old!  She's been doing it for awhile now, but not as hard, or loud, or frequent or as much in a row as she did at 6 weeks. Now to get her to do it when she's awake...
* She has slept from 9-5 a few times (even went 10 hours between feedings during the night last week!). She takes 4-5 hr naps at a time.  She smiles LOTS.  She talks LOTS (will sometimes wake us up in the morning with her talking - this means she'll be ready to eat soon - she's just giving you a fun/friendly warning).
* She had a blowout poop SO bad last week that we had to throw away the onesie and the pad underneath as well as the diaper after a major hose-down in the tub.  Nothing was salvageable. This girl.  Goodness.
* She loves to be swaddled but always manages to get out of it no matter how tight we do it.  She's quite the strong one, this little girl.  The good thing is, she still sleeps even though she's not swaddled.

Here's some pics from the past month:

She absolutely loves to sit up and enjoys time in her Bumbo seat.  (oh that hair....)  :)

Went for a picnic.... she slept while the boys played ball.

Here's how she rolled during our lunch play date one afternoon.

This is how she did her 1-month appointment.  She was like this even during her shot!

"I love my brother!"

Well hello there, gorgeous!

Zzzzzzzzzzzz............

Laying on the floor, talking.  (probably asking what we can do about the hair situation....)  ;)

Heart melter......

Again, loving to sit up!

Loves being held.  Loves mostly being held by her brother.

Loves tummy time - surprisingly!

How can one frown AND have such kissable lips all at the same time?!?!

Telling brother all about it....  ;)

Au-natural selfies.  ;)

"Mama, can I hold Emma?"  We get that asked a LOT.  :)

The camera intrigues her....

Little grin. Happy baby.

Caught her mid-smile.... with that goofy little tongue sticking out.  ;)

Us - with THE two cutest kids EVER!

Father's Day Baby Dedication

4 years ago, on Jen's first Mother's Day, we had Noah dedicated to The Lord at church.  This morning, on Greg's first Father's Day (as a Dad of two), we had Emma dedicated to The Lord at church!  What an extremely special and meaningful way to celebrate our special days as parents - and to have family and friends along side us to share in this special time made it even more great!  We are beyond blessed to be parents to these two amazing treasures.  They are the best!  The Lord knew what he was doing when he gave us them.  =)

Her First Mini Vacay

We did our traditional Memorial Day weekend up in Estes Park - it was even more fun this year since we got to bring our little miss along to experience the fun with us!  =)  However.... it did this, pretty much the WHOLE time....

and then did some of this....

But when the rain/hail let up (maybe for a couple hours TOTAL during our 2.5 days there), we DID get out and enjoy some time outside.  =)  We even tried a few new restaurants and coffee shops - and made new favorites out of them!

1 Month Old!

Sometimes the days can seem never ending, but this past month sure has flown by!  Can you believe our little Emma is already a month old today?

She has her one month checkup on Monday, so it will be fun to see where all she is at.  She has her first mini vacation planned next weekend.  She had her newborn (with some family pics thrown in there) session done a couple of weeks ago.  She's been out on the town shopping a ton and has visited quite a few restaurants. She's visited the zoo, had quite a few visitors, went on her first picnic.... basically she's had quite a full calendar her first month.  ;)

She's been the most perfect addition to our family and we can't picture our lives being any different.  In fact, it's hard to remember life without her (already)!  We are adjusting quite well, taking things one day at a time and getting ourselves into new routines/ways of life.

Below are a few pics of our little beauty - we can't seem to keep the camera out of her face!  ;)
